Prayer is essential to the spreading of the gospel message in Haiti and the effectiveness of our ministry to the Haitian people. Pray for Political Situation
Haiti continues to suffer under the hand of political instability. Please ask God to raise up Godly leaders.

Pray for Economy
Due to Haiti's political situation, the economy is in crisis. Prices continue to rise, making this third-world life almost impossible.

Pray for Salvation
May the Holy Spirit work in the hearts and minds of the Haitian people, bringing them to the foot of the Cross.

Pray for Workers
Ask God to prepare more Christians to join in the harvest.

Pray for Sonlight's Students
As they learn about God's love for them, we hope that more and more of our students will accept Christ as Lord and Savior of their lives. May our Christian students become leaders and evangelists at school, in their homes and neighborhoods, and throughout Haiti.

Pray for Provision
As the ministry grows, so does our need for financial support.

Pray for Building Projects
May God provide funds, supplies, and willing workers to complete our construction projects.

Pray for Health and Safety
Missionaries face the same health problems people face at home, plus several others. Political instability, travel, and other issues can be major dangers.

Pray for Adjustment
The missionary’s first term requires learning to adjust and cope in the new climate and culture.

Pray for Language Skills
Learning a new language can be difficult, but it is essential. This time of seeming inactivity (language classes) can frustrate a person accustomed to accomplishing a lot each day.

Pray for Relationships
It takes time for mission worker to develop genuine one-on-one relationships with the national people and to be accepted by them.

Pray for Encouragement
Missionaries go to the field with high expectations, but discouragement is a real problem. Pray that the missionaries will be encouraged.

Pray for Families
Missionaries make tremendous sacrifices that affect their extended families. They miss weddings, birthdays, funerals, and anniversaries. Pray for adjustment and that the missionaries can find other ways to draw close to family and friends abroad.

Pray for Balance, Spiritual Refreshment, & Growth
Like any ministry, missions work can be a demanding and stressful occupation. Missionaries need to find a harmonious balance between rest, work, recreation, and family. They need times of retreat, alone or with others, for times of refreshing.
